BRUCE DICKINSON: 'Tyranny Of Souls' Japanese Release Date Confirmed

May 4, 2005

IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson's new solo album, "Tyranny of Souls", will be released in Japan on June 16 — three weeks later than its May 23 international release date (May 24 for North America). The CD will include an exclusive bonus track called "Eternal".

Says MaidenFans.com, "While it doesn't confirm previous rumors that a live version of 'Chemical Wedding' and a new track called 'Emblem of Hate' would appear, these might be included in the final Japanese release or in the rumored 'Abduction' CD single."

As previously reported, BestBuy.com has uploaded 30-second audio samples of all the tracks from the forthcoming CD, due on May 24 (one day earlier internationally) via Sanctuary Records. Check them out at this location.

Dickinson's new album sees him renewing a fruitful collaboration with guitarist/producer/writer Roy Z of the Latin-based rock group TRIBE OF GYPSIES. Z has worked with Bruce since 1994's "Balls to Picasso" album, also producing the likes of HELLOWEEN, DOWNSET, HALFORD and most recently JUDAS PRIEST's reunion album, "Angel of Retribution".
